The spotlight that is being aimed at the relationship between Bill Gates and disgraced, deceased pedophile Jeffry Epstein is shining brighter and brighter.

Fellow billionaire Bill Gates has downplayed his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, and has continually claimed that he had no business or personal relationship with the depraved financier. However according to recent reporting by the New York Times, in fact, Gates met Epstein at least three times at his Upper East Side mansion.

Citing uncovered e-mails plus interviews with more than a dozen people, the paper reported that the Microsoft co-founder and Epstein first met in January 2011, years after Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida to soliciting an underage prostitute. Following the first meeting, Gates wrote in an e-mail to colleagues that Esptein’s “lifestyle is very different and kind of intriguing although it would not work for me.”

According to the Times, in 2011, Gates instructed a team to meet Epstein at his townhouse to discuss philanthropic fundraising. Epstein told the people there that his conviction for soliciting prostitution from an underage girl was no worse than “stealing a bagel,” according to two people who were there.

The Times reporting continued to say that, “the two remained in contact, and at one point in 2013, Gates flew on Epstein’s jet from New Jersey to Palm Beach, Florida, according to a flight manifest. Gates’ spokeswoman claims Gates, who owns his own private jet, didn’t know it was Epstein’s plane. Though the relationship between Gates and Epstein apparently cooled off after 2014, the Gates Foundation remained in contact with Epstein through 2017.”

The Times also said that two members of Gates’ inner circle served as intermediaries between Gates and Epstein. One, Melanie Walker, met Epstein after she graduated from college in 1992; she moved to New York, where she stayed in a building owned by Epstein. She also worked for Epstein in 1998 as a science advisor, after graduating from medical school. She joined the Gates Foundation in 2006.

Bridgitt Arnold, a spokeswoman for Gates, told The Times the pair met several times, but only to discuss philanthropy.

“Bill Gates regrets ever meeting with Epstein and recognizes it was an error in judgment to do so,” Arnold said. “Gates recognizes that entertaining Epstein’s ideas related to philanthropy gave Epstein an undeserved platform that was at odds with Gates’ personal values and the values of his foundation.”

  1. If Gates did make the statement comparing Epstein’s conviction with stealing a bagel, the backlash with his own base of followers will begin to diminish – I would think. Didn’t his mother tell him that, ‘you are the company you keep.’
