Democrats declared they would fight against Donald Trump, no matter what the cost. This pronouncement was boldly made less than 24-hours after the official announcement of Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton.
The Democratic battle to destroy Trump has already become legendary. There was the 2-year-long investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, of which Democrats were certain would yield the necessary evidence to oust their number 1 political enemy.
During this time, a number of federal judges put into office by Barack Obama, illegally used their positions on federal benches to block many of Trump’s efforts to restore America to greatness again. Some of these socialist judges declared Trump’s actions to be unconstitutional when in fact, Obama had made similar rulings just a few years earlier without any legal challenges. For example, DACA. Obama made an executive decision to create DACA and in so doing, he did say that it was a temporary program. However, when Trump used the same executive power to try to end Obama’s temporary DACA program, an Obamanite judge declared Trump’s action to be unconstitutional. When Obama’s administration identified 7 nations as being connected to terrorism, that was fine, but when Trump took action to stem immigration from those same countries, his action was blocked by another Obamanite judge, declaring Trump’s action as unconstitutional and discriminatory. This list of these actions goes on and on.
House Democrats determined to oust Trump have issued congressional subpoenas, demanding Trump provide his last 10-years of tax and financial records. Trump has legally challenged these subpoenas, much to the ire of Democrats, some of which declare that no person, not even the president is above a congressional subpoena.
If that is the case, then why are Democrats not in an uproar of the recent statement by Joe Biden, one of the top Democratic 2020 White House hopefuls, as reported:
Former Vice President Joe Biden said Friday that he would not comply with a subpoena to testify in the Senate impeachment trial against President Trump, should one be issued to him.
Any testimony from the 2020 Democratic contender for the White House before the Senate would draw attention away from Trump’s alleged wrongdoing and would effectively let the president off the hook, Biden claimed in an interview with the editorial board of the De Moines Register in Iowa.
“What are you going to cover?” Biden said to Register Executive Editor Carol Hunter in response to a question about the possibility of his participation in the trial. “You guys are going to cover for three weeks anything that I said. And (Trump’s) going to get away.”
If not even the president is above a congressional subpoena, then shouldn’t Democrats be in an uproar and appalled by Biden’s announcement? While Democrats have yet to speak out against Biden’s brash announcement, Biden is already having second thoughts about testifying before the Senate, if called.
To understand the hypocrisy of the Democrats on submitting to congressional subpoenas, just go back a few years before Trump was elected president. When Republicans controlled the House and Senate, they issued subpoenas demanding documents and evidence of Obama’s Operation Fast and Furious that send over 2 thousands guns to Mexican drug cartels. Obama and then Attorney General Eric Holder defied the congressional subpoenas and Obama went so far as to extend his executive privilege and protection to Holder to prevent Republicans from learning the truth. The same thing happened on several other issues, each time, Obama and his minions openly defying congressional subpoenas and they got away with it.
The issue of congressional subpoenas is typical of the double standard hypocrisy of Democrats where they are allowed to do whatever they want, regardless of whether or not it is legal, but at the same time, they try to hold Republicans, especially Donald Trump, to a standard even higher than what the Constitution and law allows. They care nothing about the Constitution or the law, except for when they can abuse it to their benefit. This makes Democrats no different than any other organized crime syndicate.
