A Cambridge academic whose work has repeatedly demonized white, heterosexual, males has put forward her version of a final solution that would save the planet from the scourge of humanity.
Patricia MacCormack, a professor of continental philosophy at University of Cambridge, has written a book titled The Ahuman Manifesto which puts forward the thesis that we humans must begin to “gradually phasing out our reproduction” in order to save the planet, Cambridgeshire Live reports.
“The basic premise of the book is that we’re in the age of the Anthropocene, humanity has caused mass problems and one of them is creating this hierarchal world where white, male, heterosexual and able-bodied people are succeeding, and people of different races, genders, sexualities and those with disabilities are struggling to get that,” MacCormack told Cambridgeshire Live.
Oddly, despite the book’s central argument, which basically says that in order to save the planet from impending ecological disaster the human race must be eradicated, Cambridgeshire Live’s Alistair Ryder lauds the book’s tone as “joyful and optimistic”.
MacCormack is far from the first kooky, far-left academic to put forward this kind pseudointellectual nonsense. She’s also hardly the first kooky, far-left academic to use climate theory, anti-capitalism, and her alleged love for animals as a way to establish herself as a moral arbiter.
Last September, another kooky, far-left professor – this time from Sweden – proposed that humans ought to rethink cannibalism and begin eating human flesh to save the planet from climate change.
