When it comes to racial minorities, we go beyond constitutional rights. We extend special privileges to overcome past and current systemic disadvantages.  That includes quotas in jobs and college admissions. We have made crimes against minorities (hate crimes) more punishable than the same crimes against others.

Without minority protection – the political or racial minority, that is – we have the problem articulated by Thomas Jefferson when he said that “the minority possess their equal rights, which equal laws must protect, and to violate would be oppression.”

On the political continuum that runs from anarchy on the extreme right to one-man rule on the extreme left, the Democratic Party clearly represents the more authoritarian side of the scale – and drifting further left.  That should be obvious to everyone in view of the Democrats’ constant effort to create a bigger and more powerful federal government in which an elite class holds more power.

Because of their propensity to seize and maintain permanent empowerment, we see contemporary examples of how Democrats bypass the democratic process to maintain and extend power.  That natural swing of the political pendulum from left to right – Democrat to Republican – governance tends to get stuck on the left when Democrats take charge.    In states and cities in which Republicans may hold predominant power, it is generally more balanced – with Democrats sharing – and less secure over time.

Conversely, when Democrats take power, it is more likely to evolve into permanent one-party rule.  We have seen this in many major cities.  In my own lifetime, I have seen my home state of Illinois drift from a Republican-leaning swing state to a solid blue Democrat stronghold in which the GOP has been virtually banished.

In my youth, Democrats already dominated Chicago with generations of one-party rule.  The suburbs were Republican territory as were the so-called collar counties and most of downstate.  By the 1970s, the Chicago suburbs voted mostly Democrat – then the collar counties.  Democrats expanded their votes downstate.  And Viola!  You have a state without any major Republican officeholders.  We have seen similar evolutions in other states – such as California and New York.

They consolidate power by bribing targeted voters with goodies from the public treasury.  They change election laws to provide advantages – as they did in Chicago when they switched from partisan elections to nonpartisan run-off elections in 1995 that provided Democrat candidates a virtual certainty to win.

Today, Democrats are in a full-court-press to extend their pursuit of permanent empowerment to the federal level.  That is why they want to eliminate the Electoral College, the filibuster, pack the Supreme Court (and the lower federal courts) and extend statehood to the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Democrats have had a long history of benefiting from vote fraud.  It is an operational reality in most of our major cities – notwithstanding the dishonest narrative denying the existence of any and all voting irregularities.  It is why they resist every effort to protect the security of the vote – such as a photo ID and purging the voting rolls of the millions of dead and ineligible names.

Authoritarian Democrats have a significant advantage in that their false narratives are never challenged by the major east coast news outlets.  Even worse, the supplicant media promotes and amplifies the Democrats’ false claims and bogus narratives.  They demonize all Republicans – officeholders and voters.

The good news is that at least half the country can see through Democrat lies.  More and more Blacks and Hispanics are learning who is really behind the oppressive policies and systemic racism that maintains and controls the iconic urban ghettoes.

The 2022 midterm election will indicate whether America will pull back from the left-wing big-government policies or will continue down the slippery slope of authoritarianism.

  1. So what’s the new flag gonna look like? A black BLM flag with a 51 in the background? The drastic moves prove that the 2020 elections were rigged. Otherwise the Democrats wouldn’t be feverishly trying to cement their permanent authority. Welcome to a new 3rd world country.
