A trade group representing major companies such as Kellogg, Campbell Soup and Coca-Cola wants quick action to clear up questions on President Joe Biden’s new vaccine mandate.

In a letter released today, the Consumer Brands Association is calling for answers on how its companies will be expected to implement the COVID-19 Action Plan.

In a two-page letter, Association CEO Geoff Freeman wrote Biden requesting “that federal agencies move quickly, anticipate challenges, promptly answer questions and partner with the private sector if we are to realize successful implementation of the administration’s COVID-19 Action Plan and achieve our shared goal of increased vaccination rates.”

The CBA also represents companies such as Procter & Gamble and General Mills, as well as retailers Amazon, Albertsons and Target, CNBC reported.

Biden’s plan, which is unveiled in a speech last week, mandates that all employers with more than 100 workers require them to be vaccinated or test for the virus weekly, which would affect about 80 million Americans. Roughly 17 million workers at health facilities that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid also will have to be fully vaccinated. Biden officials have said companies could face penalties of up to $14,000 per violation.

The CBA said that government guidance earlier in the pandemic routinely lagged weeks or months behind initial announcements and often conflicted with state and local requirements. The association represents more than 2 million workers nationwide.

Included in the letter were a series of questions prompted by a “flood of feedback” from member companies, the CBA stated. Among the questions:

  • What is considered documentation for proof of vaccination and how will booster shots factor into compliance?
  • Must an employee be fully vaccinated in order to work?
  • Will the requirements only apply to vaccines that are fully approved by the FDA?
  • Does the government plan to centralize vaccination tracking?
  • What are the consequences of falsifying one’s vaccination status or test results?
  • What is considered suitable documentation for a negative test result?
  • Should employees choose not to vaccinate, is the company or employee responsible for securing and paying for testing? Will paid time off be required for weekly testing requirements?
  • When will the requirements be formally issued?
  • How does this mandate impact locations with collective bargaining and existing collective bargaining agreements?
  • Do the new federal requirements include exemptions for religious beliefs and disabilities?

“Strong, consistent collaboration between the private and public sector on implementation will accelerate progress on our shared goal,” the letter states.

  1. No more buying from these companies. If they are going to support a president like Hitler then I’ll not buy a thing from them. This president is absolutely crazy and dominating.

  2. Good for them. Biden’s back door dementia demands are not healthy decisions for America. There are more dead and disabled from vaccinations than the disease has created.

  4. They are not standing up to Biden, as the headline would suggest. They are asking for marching orders to
    “accelerate our shared goal”

  5. That piece of dung, BIDEN, needs to burn in HELL forever! We all hate him and hope lightning strikes him dead. Like King Nebuchadnezar, he will taste the wrath of God.

  6. They are NOT “standing up” to Mr. Biden. They are asking for more information in order to COMPLY with the mandates. The government has no legal authority to do anything like this.

  7. Everyone, whether they choose to be vaccinated or not, needs to fight against these mandates. For years we have heard about our freedoms sliding away on the “slippery slopes” of precedent. The Covid 19 crisis and vaccine has become the precendent for segregating, isolating, silencing, and destroying American business, her people, and her way of life. I am absolutely certain that my friend Richard died, not OF covid but because of the isolation CAUSED BY covid. I believe many other seniors and other people have silently slipped away, quite possibly more than were actually claimed BY the disease. I have legitimate medical concerns and reasons as to why I will not take this shot. I will be seeking legal counsel if I am forced.

  8. This is the United States of America! Freedom matters, and so does free will. Why should the population bend a knee to a dictator, because they are steeple that don’t know any better. Dictator Biden has ignored the American citizen, opened the southern border for more illegals, COVID, drugs, and human trafficking . This President is as bad as Obama! He is in bed with China, Taliban, and Iran!! Wake up citizens of America before it is too late!! Keep the USA a free country with a two party government!! No Royalty, no queens or kings, and NO DICTATORS!!!

  9. Looks to me like they are looking for clarification. This headline is misleading. I’m really sick to death of things being sensationalized or not a part of what the headline says is in the content.
The language here suggests that they are not clear on how to proceed after the mandate is in place.
I’m not a genius but I think it’s pretty clear.

  10. I totally agree with Biden being a dictator! He has no business forcing Americans to get vaccinated for the COVID-19 (even tho I’m fully vaccinated my choice).he should burn in hell and be impeached immediately!

  13. I have observed that clever real estate agents almost everywhere are starting to warm up to FSBO Promotion. They are realizing that it’s more than simply placing a sign post in the front place. It’s really about building connections with these suppliers who one of these days will become purchasers. So, if you give your time and effort to supporting these sellers go it alone — the “Law connected with Reciprocity” kicks in. Interesting blog post.

But for world-wide-web surfing, statement processing, and a lot other prevalent computer work they are perfectly, provided you do not mind the small screen size. Many thanks sharing your notions.
