Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says that he believes that Joe Biden’s failures and plunging poll numbers practically ensure a GOP victory in the 2022 midterm elections.

McConnell said recently that conservative Americans should feel very confident ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. He rejoiced as the GOP heads into the upcoming New Year in a strong position.

During a radio interview, McConnell highlighted Joe Biden’s failure to get Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) to support the near $5 trillion Build Back Better bill. The Kentucky lawmaker was then asked if he had any “inkling” that Biden’s negotiations would ultimately flop.

“Not an inkling, but a hope,” he said on the recent broadcast. “Ironically, at my wrap-up press conference at the end of the session, I said the single biggest favor Manchin could do for the country is to kill this bill. It was an exciting thing to hear. It’s exactly what the country needed at this particular time.”

McConnell went on to say, Biden is facing a growing amount of backlash from Americans while highlighting Biden’s record-low approval ratings.

“Joe Biden started off over 50 percent, he’s now in the low 40s,” said the Senator. “He just lost his top legislative priority. We’ve had a terrific year. The American people have seen what true liberalism looks like. Actually, I think more accurately, what socialism looks like.”

McConnell also highlighted Republican victories in this year’s recent special elections despite Biden’s endorsements to Democrat candidates.

“And we’re heading toward a very significant midterm election next year, and we should, in all likelihood, flip both the House and the Senate to the Republican Party,” he continued.

McConnell went on to say he believes a growing number of Americans are waking up to far-left lawmakers’ attack on values central to the nation’s founding.

While looking forward, McConnell said now that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) does not have enough votes to pass Biden’s spending bill by Christmas, the only chance it could have to pass next year is if major revisions are made.
