In a shocking report, US officials say that the Chinese commercial aircraft that plunged 30,000 feet straight down was intentionally put into the nosedive that killed all on board!

The Boeing 737-800 passenger jet – China Eastern Airlines Flight MU5735 —  was flying from Kunming to Guangzhou on March 21 when it plunged into a mountainous area in Guangxi, China. All 123 passengers and nine crew members were killed.

US officials who have been aiding their Chinese counterparts in the investigation into the stunning crash told the collective press that the plane’s flaps appeared to “not be engaged, and the landing gear was not put down.” That, coupled with the near-vertical descent of the plane, indicates, they believe, intentional action from the cockpit.

They would go no further in speculating if such action was taken by one of the pilots or a passenger who had breached the control deck. However, ABC News reports that – Investigators have looked into one of the pilots’ personal lives and background and believe he may have been struggling through certain issues right before the crash.

The plane slammed into the ground with such force that it created a 66-foot-deep hole in the ground, according to Chinese officials.

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said all information on the investigation will come from their counterparts in the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), but regulators and Boeing have not flagged any mechanical issues. Sources said Chinese investigators also haven’t flagged any mechanical issues.

“The NTSB has assisted the Civil Aviation Administration of China with their investigation of the China Eastern 737 crash,” the agency said in a statement. “The NTSB doesn’t comment on investigations led by other authorities. All information related to that investigation will be released by the CAAC.”

The first black box, the cockpit voice recorder, was found on March 23, while the flight data recorder was found on March 27.

Early data showed the airliner plunged from 29,000 feet to 8,000 feet, leveled off, and then went into a freefall. One video showed the plane nosediving straight into the ground.
