Conservatives on Twitter once again blasted President Biden after his latest gaffe where he claimed that in “54 states” Democrats had campaigned to defend Obamacare.

At the “Pennsylvania Democratic Party Reception” on Friday Biden had spoken about the success of the Affordable Care Act despite former President Trump’s attempts to dismantle it during his time in office.

Trump had actively tried to replace Obamacare. However, Biden claimed that the Democrats’ campaigning was what managed to prevent him from doing so. He also warned that the GOP will try their best to go after health care if they manage to win a congressional majority.

While giving his address he said that Republicans were going to continue to try to eliminate the Affordable Care Act. It was after this statement that he made his now viral gaffe where he said that in 2018 “We went to 54 states” to support it.

He also added that the only reason that people with pre-existing conditions can currently get healthcare is because of the Affordable Care Act.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Co., criticized Biden saying that the only way there are 54 states is if you also “count the states of denial, confusion, delusion, and disaster.”

RealClearPolitics president Tom Bevan also made a joke saying that they had lost 3 states since 2008 when Biden and former President Obama had said “57 states”.
