The Washington Post recently reported that federal investigators had accumulated enough evidence for charges to be brought up against Hunter Biden. A new whistleblower document also shows that President Biden had knowledge of some of the business dealings that his son was making, and he might have even been involved in some. On Monday Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley also said that the FBI had a lot of evidence to show criminality.
Grassley, R-Iowa, sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss where he extensively talked about the allegations made by the whistleblower. He also said that the bureau had in its hand large amounts of documents that could be used to criminally charge both Hunter Biden and James Biden potentially. Weiss was the one who looked over the Hunter Biden investigation.
Grassley added that the FBI possessed several documents that contained information about Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings. Hunter Biden was also on the board of that company.
He also added that the documents that they have in their hands also show that Joe Biden possibly had knowledge of his son’s business dealings and might have also been involved in some. He also noted that it is not clear if the “FBI followed normal investigative procedure” regarding the information they were given or if they just chose to close the investigations ahead of the 2020 election.
Grassley also said that a summary of the FBI interview with Tony Bobulinski, Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner also provided evidence about Biden’s seeking agreements with foreign nationals that had connections to the Chinese government. This would have been during the time of the Obama administration when Joe Biden was the vice President.
