(PartiallyPolitics.com) White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was recently asked by Jonathan Capehart, host of MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” whether President Joe Biden would soon launch his presidential campaign for 2024. Jean-Pierre replied that she was not able to discuss politics due to the HATCH Act, but she did reiterate that Biden does intend to run.

At the start of the interview, Jean-Pierre was first asked about the multiple “unidentified object” that was shot down over the weekend. The press secretary specifically was asked about the object brought down over Canada. In response, she said that they were exercising “an abundance of caution” following the recommendations of both President Biden and Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. She added that the unmanned object had been brought down “in airways in the North American airspace.”

She proceeded to note that prior to being brought down the object had been monitored by NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) for 24 hours or more before Biden authorized its take down “in conjunction with Canada.”

She added that the administration would always defend the nation’s airspace and that this is something that people should be expecting.

Capehart proceeded to ask about the multiple antennas that were reportedly gathered in the debris of the suspected Chinese surveillance balloon which was shot down off the coast of the Carolinas. However, Jean-Pierre did not provide any information regarding the antennas as the Department of Defense is currently analyzing the debris.
