(PartiallyPolitics.com) – A new poll released on Tuesday shows that former President Trump is leading against President Biden in a hypothetical 2024 presidential matchup.  Biden on the other hand is leading against former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

The Emerson College poll found that Trump has a 4-point lead over Biden, with 46 percent of respondents supporting the former president in a hypothetical matchup. Biden on the other hand had the support of 42 percent of respondents.

In a matchup between Biden and DeSantis, the current president is winning by 4 points, with 44 percent of respondents supporting him and 40 percent supporting DeSantis. Against Haley on the other hand, Biden is leading by 3 points with 40 percent while Haley would have 37 percent of support. Haley announced her presidential campaign earlier in February. DeSantis has not yet announced whether or not he would be placing a bid for the White House in 2024.

Currently, DeSantis is widely viewed as the biggest challenger that Trump will need to face in order to secure the Republican nomination. This is wide because DeSantis is the only one who is nearing Trump in the polls.

In a hypothetical 2024 Republican primary, Trump is currently leading with 55 percentage points, while DeSantis is far behind him with 30 points. Haley on the other hand only has 5 percent, while former Vice President Mike Pence would have 8 percent.

Biden has not yet announced his reelection campaign officially but has repeatedly reiterated that he would be seeking a second term. A Politico story last week alleged that the President was no longer completely sure that he would run again, but Biden’s allies have widely dismissed these claims.
