(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Liberals were upset after it was revealed that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., would be appearing on this Sunday’s episode of CBS “60 Minutes.”
Many media and political figures including, MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan, NBC News Ben Collins, former GOP Congressman Adam Kinzinger, liberal commentator Elie Mystal, gun control activist David Hogg and many others blasted the program for agreeing to bring Greene on board when Greene knew MAGA-support.
Following the announcement on the CBS show Twitter account, there were many outraged about the interview. The announcement also showed some behind-the-scenes photos and moments from the pre-filmed interview.
One of the photos in particular that sparked more outrage includes Stahl and Greene talking while in the Capitol rotunda. However, many of those who have seen the photo have pointed out its resemblance to some of the scenes from the January 6, Capitol attack.
Along with the photo the show’s account continued to praise Greene for always sharing her opinion.
Frequent MSNBC guest and The Nation correspondent Elie Mystal blistered CBS’ apparent civil treatment of the GOP congresswoman. He decried that the network referred to Greene by her nickname, as though it signified some friendliness between both parties.
Former CNN and NBC anchor Soledad O’Brien blasted the “60 Minutes’” characterization of Greene and stated that the network was trying to make her appear weaker and less dangerous than she actually was.
Liberal actor Bradley Whitford in a recent sarcastic post even went as far as to compare Greene and Adolf Hitler.
