(PartiallyPolitics.com) – In an interview on CBS “Face the Nation” Sunday Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) pushed for President Biden to focus his attention on policy rather than the concerns regarding his age.

Sanders told Robert Costa that the Biden campaign needed to make changes to its strategy as Americans wanted to see clear policies addressing the working class in the country. He added that he does not believe this is something that the President has done so far.

Sanders argued that Biden needed to stand up and say that he would be taking action against corporate greed and wealth inequality. If he takes such a step it would ensure that he will win in the upcoming election.

The Democrats have issued a lot of criticisms towards Biden with many of them even calling for him to withdraw from the presidential race following his weak performance in last month’s first presidential debate. Sanders addressed these concerns however he stated that he continued to be confident in Biden’s ability to defeat the former President.

Sanders argued that this is not a Best Singer Grammy Award and that while Biden is not as articulate due to his age, he does have policies that are going to benefit most people in the U.S.

Currently, five House Democrats have been pushing for Biden to leave the presidential race, while Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) also reported that they are trying to organize the Senators to push for Biden to withdraw.

Sanders argued that while Biden had a “terrible debate performance” he has performed better since then, and he has to continue doing better.
