(PartiallyPolitics.com) – According to the latest polls, President Joe Biden has dropped in popularity in many polls which suggests that in 2024 he might not have an easy win in the presidential elections. This has also sparked many questions from within the Democrat party with some people arguing that it was possibly time for Biden to step aside and allow a different candidate to emerge.
A new Big Data poll survey found that in Pennsylvania many voters have switched to support Republican primary front runner and former President Donald Trump. Trump is widely expected to become his party’s nominee in 2024.
In the poll, voters were asked who they would support in the 2024 presidential election if it was held today. The majority of respondents expressed support for Trump over Biden who was losing the race by 3.5 points.
The survey was conducted from November 16 to November 19 and included 1,382 registered voters. The margin of error for this poll was calculated at 2.6 percent. Trump was predominantly backed in the following counties: Lehigh, Lackawanna, Northampton, and Monroe.
In the 2020 presidential election, the Democrats managed to win the state by a 1.17 percent margin. The state had been won by the Republicans in the 2016 election by a 0.72 percent margin.
Big Data Poll director Rich Baris claimed that the data showed that Biden’s position was in “jeopardy.” He also pointed out that Trump was strong in several counties including Allegheny and Philadelphia. He added that in the Northeast Biden’s position was in particular “jeopardy.”
