(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Thursday, President Biden will be heading to North Carolina where he will be announcing $82 million in new investments which would include connecting households and businesses to high-speed internet.

Biden is set to visit the Raleigh-Durhan area to attend the announcement with Gov. Roy Cooper (D). The funding is part of the American Rescue Plan, which had been signed into law in 2021. There will be around 16,000 homes and businesses in the state that are going to benefit from the new development.

A White House fact sheet has also pointed out that the investment aims to create more jobs in manufacturing and create fiber-optic cable that is going to be created in America. This is going to then be used for the improvement of infrastructure across the nation.

Apart from higher quality and speed internet, people in the battleground state are also going to be seeing a reduction in their internet bills each month. As they point out the improvement would allow 885,000 North Carolina Households to save up to $30 each month on their internet bills.

Biden is going to be discussing the goal and remarks and will be connecting over 300,000 homes and businesses to high-speed internet before the end of 2026 through the use of $1 billion from the American Rescue Plan. The plan is for all Americans to have high-speed internet before 2030.

Biden’s remarks during the announcement are also going to highlight many of the achievements of his Bidenomics agenda.
