(PartiallyPolitics.com) – CNN anchor Abby Phillip during her coverage of the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday night stated that it was smart of Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley to attack former President Donald Trump and President Biden over their age.
Phillip argued that it was possible that the first party that would not have a nominee who is around their 80s could end up being the victor. However, she questioned which one would be the first to move. Phillips further pointed out that no one wanted Biden or Trump but that there was no one who would be willing to walk away first.
If either Trump, 77, or Biden, 81, end up winning the general election in 2024 then they would be among the oldest people to have ever served in the White House. Many Americans are also dissatisfied with the possibility that the 2024 election would turn out to be a Biden-Trump rematch.
Haley has often pointed out that the age of leaders in Washington, D.C., was an issue and has even suggested that all candidates over the age of 75 needed to be required to take a cognitive test.
On Tuesday night, Trump defeated Haley by receiving over 50 percent in the primary in New Hampshire. Trump has also received the endorsement of a large number of Republican politicians.
Following his recent victory Biden in his statement admitted that it was likely that Trump would end up being the Republican nominee in the fall.
