(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Last Tuesday Florida Governor and Republican Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis slammed former President Donald Trump claiming that during his administration the “swamp” in the White House had worsened.

During an interview with Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle,” DeSantis claimed that Trump had not taken enough action to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and others accountable. He then promised that if he wins the White House then he would make sure to fire Wray.

As he told Laura Ingraham he could also remember the rallies that Trump had held in 2016 during which there were chants about holding Hillary Clinton accountable and locking her up. Still, after his election in the White House, Trump appeared to move away from that and pretend as if he had never talked about holding her accountable.

He added that while he can give Trump credit for some of the great things he had done during his administration, this is one of those things that he faults Trump for as he had not done enough to “drain the swamp” which had instead worsened during his administration. As DeSantis pointed out Trump had both the people and the power to keep everyone accountable and yet those who held those jobs did not take sufficient action.

In the past few months, allegations about the federal government weaponizing the FBI and the Department of Justice have grown. DeSantis proceeded to claim that in order to get this done it was necessary to have “very swift action.”
