(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Friday, former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley spoke up against the rumors that she might join former President Donald Trump’s ticket if he ends up winning the 2024 GOP nomination.

Ahead of the South Carolina primary Haley emphasized once again that she was not looking to become the vice president. She added that they would be seeing what would happen after the race, but that the problem was that there were many people who were claiming that the only reason she was in the race was because she wanted to be the vice president. She argued that this is something she believed she had settled as for months she has been arguing that she was interested in winning the White House.

Haley proceeded to emphasize how committed she was to national issues. She argued that if she was worried about a political future then this is not what she would be doing. Instead, she argued that the reason for her campaign was that she was attempting to wake the country up.

On Feb. 14, Trump once again claimed that he could “never” see Haley as a possible running mate.

Haley also talked about the recent proposal from Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., who called for a unity ticket against President Joe Biden and Trump. Haley pointed out once again that she was affiliated with the Republican party and focused on preventing Trump’s nomination in order to avoid any possible loss in the general election.

She continued by arguing that the race was about who could be a nominee that would win the general election as nothing would end up getting fixed if they ended up losing.
