(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Monday, a new interview with Vice President Kamala Harris is set to air on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” During the interview, Harris addressed the comments about the way that she laughed and pointed out that it was very common for people to make fun of public figures.

In the clip which was obtained by Mediaite, Harris stated that host Barrymore had previously asked her what it was like to be the “first woman.” She added that it was funny because people were still not used to this idea. As she pointed out, oftentimes her staff would show her little things that she found amusing, such as the fact that people would often discuss the way that she laughed.

Harris further detailed how women in her life would always sit at the kitchen table and laugh while telling stories. She argued that this is the reason why she is not the type of person who would ever restrict her laugh. She continued by saying that she has the same laugh as her mother and that she had grown up with a lot of women who would laugh “from the belly.”

She added that it was important for everyone to remember that they did not need to be confined by the perception that other people had of them. Instead, everyone should act if they want to be right.

The interview is going to be focused on Harris’ four first years in the White House as the first female vice President.
