(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Vice President Harris during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday slammed former President Donald Trump for being a “cheater” after the guilty verdict in his New York hush money criminal trial.
Harris in her comments argued that “cheaters” did not like to be caught. ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel had proceeded to ask the vice president how she had first learned of the guilty verdict, to which Harris joked that she had heard about it “rapidly.”
Harris continued by saying that there was a group of 12 people, who had taken six weeks to listen to facts and evidence and deliberate on the case. She added that those people had unanimously reached the decision that Trump was guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records. As she pointed out, the selection of the jury had been a process in which the defense attorney had also actively been a part, and that they had made the choices on which witnesses they would call and cross-examine. It was based on this that the jury made their decision.
The Vice President continued by pointing out that the reality is that “cheaters” don’t want to be caught or be held accountable.
During the interview, Kimmel also claimed that Trump was going “classic projection” by accusing the Biden administration of having weaponized the Justice Department. He added that if that was the case then why would President Biden not get his son, Hunter Biden, out of the trial he is currently in?
Harris responded by claiming that Trump is a “hypocrite” and will apply different standards to himself and everyone else.
