(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Monday, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) slammed former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) after he claimed that she needed assistance in straightening “her life.” Mace has now used the insult in her favor as her fundraising pitch.

On Tuesday McCarthy slammed Mace during a Capitol Hill visit. The pair have been in a feud following Mace and seven other Republican members joining with the Democrats in order to oust him from the Speakership in October.

McCarthy recently told reporters that he hoped Nancy was going to receive the help she needed. He added that she faced many challenges and that he was hopeful she was going to “straighten out her life.” He continued by arguing that no one was going to continue “working for her” and that they could not have someone whose position changed depending on which TV station she appeared in. Instead, he argued that what they wanted was someone who was going to be willing to work and that he hoped she would be able to receive the type of help she needed.

Mace proceeded to take to X, formerly known as Twitter to say that while she did need help it was not in the way that McCarthy thought. In her statement, she argued that what she needed help with was fighting the “corrupt DC establishment.” She added that McCarthy had threatened the party’s majority and had lied to the people in the country, which is why he was unable to keep his speakership.

She proceeded to say that she was now fighting in her state’s primary, Catherine Templeton, who she argued is a “hand-picked puppet” of the former Speaker.
