(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Many users of the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were upset with President Biden’s refusal to supply any additional details to reporters before his trip to Maui following the devastating wildfires that destroyed large parts of the island last week.
On Thursday reporters got the chance to ask Biden about his trip to Hawaii, especially following the criticisms he has received lately over his response to the wildfires which have claimed the lives of at least 111 lives. However, much like before, the President avoided providing any comments regarding the trip regardless of the questions asked.
One reporter could be heard asking Biden whether he could tell them anything about his trip. Biden in response proceeded to walk away while stating that he would not be saying anything more right now.
Social media users were quick to point out that once again Biden was avoiding answering any questions.
Steve Guest, a conservative commentator posted on X that Biden should have instead just responded with “No comment.”
Kate Hyde, a different conservative commentator also joked that Biden had not received a briefing about Hawaii and that his trip with the first lady is just a vacation. She added that no one had told Biden about “disaster relief yet.”
Graham Allen, a media personality, similarly argued that in reality, Biden did not have any clue about what was happening in Hawaii. While social media influencer ALX also mockingly stated in a tweet that this was the “most transparent administration.”
President Biden arrived in Hawaii on Monday and was able to see all the devastation the wildfires left.
