(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Former Attorney General Bill Barr revealed on Thursday during an appearance on Fox News’s “Your World” that he believes the only two indictments against former President Donald Trump that were “legitimate” were the two federal cases.

Host Neil Cavuto asked Barr which of the cases against Trump he believed had merit. In response, Barr argued that both of the cases brought forth against Trump by Special Counsel Jack Smith had married. He proceeded to note that Trump’s act when it came to the documents found in Mar-a-Lago had been so “outrageous” that anyone who had acted in a similar way would have been prosecuted. He argued that this is why this particular case is rather simple and needed to be “tried.”

Barr also argued that Trump had “crossed a line” when it came to his attempts to overturn the presidential election. He added that one of the reasons why he had resigned from the Trump administration in December 2022 was because he did not agree with Trump in proceeding with the “Big Lie” that he had been the winner of the 2020 presidential election. As he said he believed it was an “irresponsible” thing to do and Trump took it much further than what anyone had anticipated or expected.

Barr was also asked about Trump’s Truth Social post from that same day in which he had claimed to have “canned” Barr. However, Barr argued that the reason the two had parted in 2020 was because Trump would not see reason or listen to anyone talking to him.
