(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to blast the Department of Justice for not supporting him in the defamation case filed against him by writer E. Jean Carroll. Trump in his posts once again reiterated that he did not know who Carroll is.
As he wrote in his posts on Wednesday the Department of Justice had chosen to not defend him in the civil case that Carroll has filed. He argued that all of this was part of the political Witch Hunt by a political operative that Trump had been successful against in a different case. He argued that the case is funded by a “big political funder” and then “judged” by someone that was appointed by former President Clinton.
He added that every statement he has made about Carroll has been true and that he had never raped her, as was proven in the trial against her. He noted that in regard to this case, he did not know who Carroll was, what she looked like, or anything else relating to her.
In a follow-up post on the same day, Trump called the previous trial against Carroll to have been a “Miscarriage of Justice” and said that everything was unfair and that the other side had been allowed to present evidence effectively in any way they liked. He added that the judge in that trial had been completely biased against him.
These posts came after the Department of Justice reversed their earlier decision which would provide Trump immunity against the $10 million defamation lawsuit that Carroll has filed.
