(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Former President Donald Trump in two separate interviews, one with Newsmax and another with Fox News Digital discussed the “terrible experience” he had during his booking at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday evening. Trump had turned himself in after being indicted on 13 counts relating to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
While describing the booking process he stated that it was “very sad” and uncomfortable for his booking to be processed and mug shot to be taken. As he revealed to Fox Digital they had insisted on him taking a mugshot, which has so far not been a requirement in any of his three previous indictments this year.
He further pointed out that this was not a “comfortable feeling” especially considering he had not done anything wrong.
After returning to New Jersey following his booking during an interview with Newsmax’s Greg Kelly recounted the booking experience. At one point he stated that he had not heard anything about a mug shot until he had to take one. As he said this was an experience that he did not believe he would ever have to go through and that so far he went from not knowing anything about indictments to being indicted four times.
Thursday’s booking was the fourth time in 2023 that Trump had been arrested and booked. His first indictment had come in a completely separate case in Manhattan, while he has also been federally charged twice, once in Florida and once in Washington, D.C. However, he was not required to have his mug shot taken during any of these bookings.
