(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Former President Trump, who is widely believed to be the 20214 Republican presidential nominee, announced on Tuesday during a Fox News town hall who he would consider as a possible option for his running mate. The list included a dozen people, including three of the former 2024 Republican presidential candidates. The three candidates in question are entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Apart from the three former candidates Trump also mentioned that there were a lot of “good” “solid people on his list including South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida. He also said that another option is former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who used to be a Democrat but has now turned independent.

Trump has been known to make off-the-cuff moments, and many believe that it would be unlikely that DeSantis would agree to be Trump’s running mate, especially following the attacks from both sides for over a year during the Republican primary.
Last month DeSantis suspended his presidential campaign before the New Hampshire primary and proceeded to endorse former President DOjanld Trump. However, since then he has not joined the President in his campaign events, despite him having also been in South Carolina on Tuesday for a separate official event.

Ramaswamy, who also dropped out of the presidential race last month has been a vocal supporter of the America First agenda promoted by the former President and has teamed up with Trump a number of times following the suspension of his own presidential campaign.
