(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Conservatives on social media blasted former Vice President Mike Pence over a new video taken at a gas station in which he is blasting the Biden administration. The 2024 Presidential candidate can be seen in the video filling up a pickup truck’s tank.
In the video, he starts off by asking whether people remember when the price for a gallon of gas was $2. He then argued that President Biden came into office and started to wage a war on energy. Since its posting, the video has received millions of views.
Pence’s video was meant to be a promotion of his energy independence plan, however, it ended up being a point of mockery for many people on social media who argued that the beeping sound in the background was an indication that he was not filling the tank.
Rob Schneider, a comedian, questioned how “this dipstick” was going to be able to fix the country’s energy independence when he is not even able to select the right octane gas to make the beeping sound stop.
Steven Crowder, a political commentator, also put out a tweet questioning whether Pence had never pumped gas before.
On Monday Pence’s campaign team announced that they had met the second requirement set by the Republican National Committee (RNC) for GOP candidates who wanted to join the first presidential nomination debate which is set to take place in August and be aired by Fox News. In order for the campaign to qualify they needed to have more than 40,000 donors and pass a polling threshold mandate that the RNC has set.
