Ramaswamy’s Scathing Critique of Democratic Elite Influence

In a fiery appearance on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy launched a blistering attack on the Democratic Party, accusing them of betraying the very people they claim to champion. Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old venture capitalist from Ohio, didn’t mince words as he painted a picture of a party beholden to wealthy elites and global interests rather than serving the American people.

Ramaswamy’s criticism centered on what he sees as the Democrats’ hypocritical stance on wealth and influence in politics. He pointed to the party’s rhetoric against the rich while simultaneously benefiting from their support, particularly singling out Alex Soros, son of billionaire George Soros, for his involvement in Democratic fundraising efforts.

“So look, I have no objection to being a billionaire, speaking to somebody who has lived the American dream myself,” Ramaswamy told Laura Ingraham. “But what I do have an objection to is the kind of puppeteering that you see now in the Democratic Party. Look at those images of Alex Soros standing next to Tim Walz. Looks like if you squint really closely, you can even see the puppet master pulling the strings right there.”

Foreign Policy and Climate Change Agenda Under Fire

Ramaswamy didn’t limit his critique to domestic issues. He expanded his attack to include the Democrats’ approach to foreign policy, particularly regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Echoing former President Donald Trump’s stance, Ramaswamy advocated for peace in the region, arguing that the current approach does not serve American interests.

“Nowhere do we see this more pronounced than in our foreign policy. I think this war in Ukraine does not best serve American interests and Donald Trump is right to want to bring peace to that conflict,” he continued. “Yet you do see a global establishment almost goading on the furtherance of that war in a way that doesn’t advance American interests. The climate change agenda is the same thing. It doesn’t help the United States.”

This criticism aligns with Ramaswamy’s broader campaign message of challenging what he sees as the establishment’s grip on both major political parties. His outsider status and willingness to confront entrenched interests have garnered attention, though his connections to influential conservative figures like Peter Thiel and Leonard Leo have raised questions about his own ties to elite networks.

Democratic Strategy and Project 2025

Ramaswamy also took aim at the Democrats’ political strategy, particularly their focus on the conservative policy platform known as Project 2025. Speaking from the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where he made a surprise appearance, Ramaswamy accused the party of manufacturing a “false boogeyman” to distract from their own policy shortcomings.

“They’ve turned Project 2025 into the equivalent of this boogeyman, like they had of Russian interference in the 2016 election,” the entrepreneur told Blake Burman on NewsNation’s “The Hill.”

Ramaswamy’s presence at the Democratic convention and his willingness to engage directly with his political opponents underscore his unconventional approach to the presidential race. As the campaign continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether his sharp critiques and outsider status will resonate with Republican primary voters and the broader electorate.
