(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Biden hasn’t been seen since announcing he wouldn’t seek reelection and endorsing Harris as his replacement.

On Sunday, President Joe Biden’s official account on X posted a letter acknowledging it would be in the Democratic Party’s and country’s “best interest” for him to withdraw from the race and “focus solely on fulfilling” his duties as President for the rest of his term.

He also revealed he’d “speak to the Nation… in more detail” later in the week but didn’t specify a date.

According to Biden’s public schedule, the President was at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, home when the letter was published on social media. He didn’t have any public appearances scheduled for that day.

Biden also didn’t have any public events scheduled for Monday, only receiving his daily briefing at 10 a.m. ET, which is closed to the press.

The White House has also gone silent on Biden’s withdrawal from the race and hasn’t been forthcoming about Biden’s schedule for the rest of the week.

Last week, Biden was required to self-isolate after reportedly testing positive. He last appeared publicly Wednesday, July 17, when he deplaned in Delaware.

On Friday, July 19,  the President’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, wrote a letter describing Biden’s medical condition, stating Biden had “completed his sixth dose of PAXLOVID” on Friday morning.

He explained the President still had “a loose, non-productive cough and hoarseness” but that his symptoms were improving steadily.

The White House published the letter.

O’Connor also revealed Biden’s blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate “remain absolutely normal,” and that his “oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air.”

Biden had been infected with the KP .2.3 variant, which, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, accounts for roughly one-third of all new infections in the U.S.
