(PartiallyPolitics.com) – A new report has emerged that President Joe Biden’s top aides had attempted to bring in prominent Democrats last year in an effort to have Karine Jean-Pierre resign from her role as press secretary. However, the White House has argued that this report was completely “false.”

In May 2022, Jean-Pierre was appointed as the press secretary, which had been a point of contention from her superiors who had argued that they did not think she had “adequately” pitched Biden as he was preparing for his re-election campaign.

Some have also complained that the press secretary lacks the necessary understanding for her job and has often relied too much on her binder during the press briefings. Senior advisor Anita Dunn had ended up according to some sources calling for other people to help “nudge her out.”

One source argued that there were multiple people who she had asked to help engage Jean-Pierre, and noted that they had heard the strategy from Dunn directly. The source also claimed that Jeff Zients, the White House chief of staff had known about the scheme to have Jean-Pierre pushed out of her position and had been in favor of the efforts.

White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates had slammed the sources on Friday and argued that they were “wildly false.” He added that no one had approached her with such a message and that every day she was preparing for four hours.

However other sources have stated that they were trying to get Jean-Pierre to gracefully exit from her position at around the one-and-a-half-year mark which is a fairly standard tenure for a press secretary.
