Democrats Looking To Unseat Top Republican

(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Democrats are preparing for another challenge against Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) who they nearly managed to unseat in one of the most surprising races in the 2022 midterms.

This week, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) put the spotlight on Boebert’s district as one of the 31 main areas to target next year. This is despite the fact that former President Trump had successfully won it in the past two presidential elections. Still, for the Democrats, Boebert’s close association with Trump’s MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, makes her a prime target for the next election.

Adam Frisch, the Democratic candidate who was close to defeating Boebert last year pointed out that “One of our most effective comments” discussed in the district is about how Boebert is predominantly focused on herself and not on the district. Frisch is going to be running against Boebert again in 2024. As he stated Boebert was close to having “the most embarrassing loss in 20 years and she hasn’t changed one iota. She’s actually doubled down on crazy.”

This sentiment is one that Frisch is going to continue to promote throughout the preparation for the general election next year. Boebert’s style has led to her being at the center of many controversies despite her relatively short congressional career. These include a push for the Democrats to have her removed from House committees following her Islamophobic attacks against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.). Boebert has also been a vocal supporter of Trump’s claims that the 2020 presidential election had been stolen from him.
