(PartiallyPolitics.com) – In Richmond, Virginia a DoorDash driver alleged that while she was attempting to make a delivery, two people, one of whom was an 11-year-old boy, had carjacked her at gunpoint.

Dean Smith, 40, who was trying to complete a DoorDash delivery in an apartment complex close to the 400 block of Westover Hills Boulevard told Scripps New Richmond that two males, an 11-year-old boy along with an adult man had approached her. At first, she thought that the two were going to ask for money, but soon enough she had a gun pointed at her, while the pair asked for her car keys.

Recalling the incident she shared how they had told her that they would shoot her, to which she had questioned whether they were serious and wanted to kill someone while being so young. The two suspects ended up escaping in Smith’s car. Officers were quick to respond to the scene.

The vehicle was located by authorities in Henrico County, where it had crashed and burned. The two juveniles, identified by the police as Jahlia Henley, 18, and an 11-year-old boy were transferred to the hospital to receive medical attention. The police have disclosed that the two have been charged with robbery.

Smith has stated that losing her car, which she had only recently paid off, put her and her 10-year-old daughter in a hard position, as she does not have a way to travel to her full-time job where she works as a home health care nurse.
