(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Monday, the Republican Accountability PAC, which is campaigning against former President Donald Trump, released a new ad campaign warning 2024 voters that the former President would likely call for a second insurrection similar to the Jan. 6 one.

The ad is called “Trump Will Do This Again” and it includes footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. The footage is paired with an audio of the speech that Trump had given at the Ellipse right before the start of the Capitol attack. The ad proceeds to argue that it had been Trump who had called for his supporters to fight and that he would do the same again. It adds that Trump should not become the U.S. President again.

The ad continues with clips of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) all denouncing the Capitol attack and the violence it had caused. While many GOP lawmakers had slammed Trump right after the attack, they have now retracted much of their earlier criticisms. Cruz in particular has apologized for having previously dubbed the Jan. 6 attack a “terrorist attack.”

The ad campaign is going to run for three days on Fox News, including during the town hall events of the Republican presidential candidate.

Gunner Ramer, the Republican Accountability political director in a statement noted that they should not let voters forget how central Trump’s role had been in the attack. He added that Trump continues to push conspiracy theories and avoid all responsibility for his actions.
