(PartiallyPolitics.com) – The Never Back Down PAC, founded by Ken Cuccinelli is urging Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to place a bid for the White House in 2024.

In their newly released ad “Winner” which is reportedly going to be showing in the four early-voting states in the Republican primary, Iowa, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Nevada, the PAC presents DeSantis as the natural successor to former President Donald Trump. While Trump joined the 2024 presidential race in November 2022, DeSantis has not yet announced his plans for next year. However, it has been widely reported that he will be announcing his campaign after the end of his state’s legislative session.

Cuccinelli the founder of the PAC, previously served as a former senior Trump administration official, despite this he has now switched sides and he is supporting DeSantis in his possible run.

The ad, which was first shared with ABC News, starts off with many of DeSantis’ most famous remarks about Florida as the place where “woke goes to die” and a place where freedom is protected. It proceeds by drawing a comparison between the recent news coverage for Trump and DeSantis, showcasing the New York Post article with the headline “DeFuture” and an article from the Naples Daily News that touted DeSantis’ successes. In another part of the ad, a man sticks on his car a “DeSantis for President” sticker over his previous “Trump 2016” sticker.

This is not the first ad that this PAC has released in support of DeSantis. In a previous ad, they attempted to paint Trump as someone who is endorsing gun control measures, following some of his earlier comments.
