(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Fox News has reported on an internal memo from Border Patrol where San Diego sector agents have been instructed to release single adult migrants who come from the majority of the countries in the Eastern Hemisphere. In the memo, it is noted that those migrants should be classified as either “hard” or “very hard” to remove.

The memo had been sent out following the executive order by President Biden which banned asylum for the majority of immigrants. The executive order went into effect last week, with Biden announcing that he was moving ahead with this move as the Republicans were trying to obstruct any moves that would help protect the border. He had specifically noted that he would be doing everything possible using the tools available to the U.S. president to address the situation at the border.

The Washington Examiner’s Anna Giaritelli reported regarding the memo that it instructed agents that single adults from that region of the world, excluding those from Uzbekistan, Russia, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, should be processed with a “NTA/OR,” that is a Notice to Appear/released on Own Recognizance. The countries excluded from the list are mandatory referral countries.

There are over 100 countries in the Eastern Hemisphere which means that despite President Biden and the Department of Homeland Security previously claiming that there would be consequences and would remove all illegal immigrants, the majority of those in the San Diego sector are just ending up being released into the United States.

A senior Border Patrol official stated that this was localized instruction just for San Diego because of the unique countries that they deal with.
