(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Saturday, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis argued that the prosecution in the election interference case against former President Donald Trump had not been delayed by the case relating to her romantic relationship with one of the special prosecutors she had brought on to this case.

In an interview with CNN, Willis argued that she did not believe there had been any slowing down and had argued that she believed that despite the efforts to have the train slow down it was still coming.

These latest comments come after the federal attorneys continue to push forward allegations about her handling of the prosecution. Trump in the past year has been indicted four times, out of which two are election interference cases on a state and federal level. The cases against him relate to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election after he lost to President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. However, he has repeatedly attempted to either have the cases against him dismissed or have the political opponents target him wrongly.

Willis had spoken only days after the judge in Georgia had given the Trump’s codefendants attorneys the right to appeal the ruling that allows Willis to remain in the case so long as Nathan Wade, the prosecutor she was in a romantic relationship with, was withdrawn from the case.

The defense attorneys had argued that Willis had hired Wade in order for the couple to benefit from the prosecution of Donald Trump through their romantic relationship.
