(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Isayah Turner, 23, might not appear like a regular supporter of former President Donald Trump, and yet the young man had driven for two hours from Milwaukee to attend a rally of former President Donald Trump in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is one of the young voters who are appearing to grow and have turned into a significant demographic for the former President.

In 2020 the youth vote had been won by then-Democratic president Joe Biden. However, the decline in support among that group has drastically reduced Biden’s hopes of a possible second term.

Turner, who along with his mother runs a dog breeding business, had also voted for Trump in 2020. As he has stated he is a supporter of Trump’s oil-drilling stance and expressed opposition to gun control. Turner, who is the owner of a number of firearms, also praised Trump for his pledge to curb illegal immigration.

The young man told Reuters that he could not recall a singly upsetting thing that Trump had done during his time in office. However, with President Biden at the office, he saw “countless things” that he did not agree with, which is something that all of his friends were also in agreement with.

In March the Reuters/Ipsos poll found that among 18–29-year-olds, President Biden was favored over Trump by only 3 percent. The rest are currently either favoring either another candidate or are unsure of who they are going to vote for.

If Trump manages to win more support with that demographic, then it could be a major win for him when compared to the 2020 presidential race, when Biden had won the youth vote.
