(PartiallyPolitics.com) – David Cameron, the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary, is expected to visit former President Donald Trump in his Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday. This is before he heads to Washington, D.C., where he will participate in talks about providing Ukraine with more support.

A U.K. spokesperson confirmed the meeting which they noted to be “standard practice” between opposition candidates and ministers from partner countries. They added that ahead of his Washington, D.C., visit Cameron would be meeting Trump in Florida as part of a routine international engagement.

After the meeting, Cameron is going to visit D.C., where he is going to participate in talks with both the Democratic and Republican Congressional leaders on providing more support for Ukraine. His office did not provide any information on which leaders would be in attendance during the meeting.

However, his office did note that he would be holding talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken as the United Kingdom would continue to provide support for Ukraine. IT added that Cameron would continue to talk with key Congressional figures and try to get them to change the narrative on Ukraine so that they provide an additional $60 billion in supplementary funding.

For over a year, the United States has been in limbo when it comes to providing additional funding to Ukraine. This is while there is sharp division in Congress. House Speaker Mike Johnson has also indicated that he has plans to get Congress to look at the topic of aid after they return from recess this week.
