(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Texas Senator Ted Cruz is urging the House to investigate President Biden for possible impeachment following revelations from an IRS whistleblower. The whistleblower informed Congress that Hunter Biden, the President’s son, had exploited his father’s political position to coerce a Chinese business partner through WhatsApp messages.

According to the whistleblower, Hunter Biden had threatened his business partner by implying that his father, President Biden, was present during their discussions about a deal. When questioned about the relevance of Hunter Biden’s actions to the President, Cruz stated that it was a matter of concern “right now.”

Cruz emphasized that the WhatsApp conversation provided “direct evidence” of President Joe Biden leveraging his authority, connections, and power to benefit his son financially. He further asserted that if even “10 percent” of the wealth acquired by Hunter Biden was funneled to Joe Biden, it would constitute self-enrichment. Cruz called on the House to thoroughly investigate these allegations, expressing astonishment at the IRS whistleblower’s revelation that the Attorney General had impeded the investigation into these messages.

Previously, Attorney General Garland had consistently denied any interference in the probe involving Hunter Biden. Cruz made these remarks during a recent episode of his podcast titled “Verdict.” He also discussed the claims made by the IRS whistleblower, who asserted that there were deliberate attempts to obstruct the investigation into Hunter Biden during Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and his subsequent presidency. These claims were disclosed by House Republicans earlier this week.

The whistleblower, Gary Shapley Jr., who supervised the IRS investigation into Hunter Biden, disclosed that the IRS initially gained access to the WhatsApp messages exchanged between Hunter Biden and Henry Zhao, CEO of Harvest Fund Management, on July 30, 2017. These messages revealed that Hunter Biden had applied pressure on Zhao to fulfill their agreement.
