(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Kevin Morris, a Hollywood lawyer that has previously acted as a benefactor for Hunter Biden, told House Republicans investigators that he had covered millions of dollars for Hunter either through personal loans without any expectation that these would result in him getting special benefits from the White House.

Morris reportedly assisted Hunter Biden with approximately $5 million which had been used for public relations, housing, tax, and even legal expenses. He added that while originally, they did not have a specific agreement in place for the repayment, the terms of the agreement were later set out by their lawyers. He further noted that repayment was not expected until 2025.

Last week, while speaking to the House Oversight, Ways and Means, and Judiciary committees during a closed-doors meeting been asked questions relating to the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden and the investigations into the possible tax crimes of Hunter Biden. On Tuesday, the committees made available the interview transcript, this release came after some squabbling over the content of the testimony.

Morris’ attorney last week had claimed that the GOP investigators had handpicked different parts of his testimony as soon as it concluded.

In a statement following the interview Oversight Chair Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) but before the release of the official transcripts had implied that the loans provided to Hunter Biden had not been loans but instead had been payments for “access” to the White House.

Morris pointed out that during Biden’s presidency, he had been to the White House only three times and had never exchanged more than pleasantries with the President. He added that in 2021, Hunter Biden had given him a tour of the White House and that Joe Biden had simply waved and made a joke about his hair at the time.

The second time he attended the White House was for the wedding of Naomi Biden, who is Hunter Biden’s daughter, and the third was in 2023 for the Independence Day picnic.
