(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Friday, Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker argued that Vice President Kamala Harris needed to “step aside”  because of her subpar performance. She added that Harris was a “burden” to the 2024 ticket.

Parker argued that while she was hoping that Harris was going to succeed so far her performance had been “disappointing.” She added that the problem with Harris was that she was selected because she was a Black woman, but that she had now become a burden to the ticket. Still, as she pointed out President Joe Biden could not risk to fire Harris as it might potentially alienate his base.

She added that this is a very serious situation, especially as Biden’s faculties are diminishing and there are concerns about his physical fitness. Parker pointed out that Harris’ role thus far has appeared to be a quiet one apart from on the occasions when she had embarrassed the President through her ramblings or laughing about something that was unclear to all others.

The columnist points out that this is the exact reason why Harris needs to step aside and that this move would be beneficial to the country. This is not the first time that Parker has called for someone to leave their position, in 2008 she had pushed for Sarah Palin to quit.
The columnist also argued that Harris was not popular with the voters and that this was unlikely to happen if she ended up becoming the U.S. President because something happened to Joe Biden.
