(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Saturday, former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign blasted the Biden administration for dubbing March 31 “Transgender Day of Visibility” as the day coincides with Easter Sunday, an important celebration for Christians who are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a statement Karoline Leavitt, the national press secretary of the Trump campaign argued that it was appalling that the Biden administration was prohibiting children from submitting any eff designs that had religious symbols for their Easter Art Event. She also slammed the White House for formally proclaiming March 31 as “Trans Day of Visibility” even though it was Easter Sunday. As she argued this was an open attack on Christianity.

In her statement, she also called for an apology and argued that these are the two latest examples of the assault on the Christian faith by President Biden that has been taking place over the last year.

Former President Barack Obama was the one to pick March 31 to become Trans Visibility Day in 2009. However, in 2024, right ahead of the next presidential election, the day coincided with Easter Sunday which is something that Republicans were quick to point out.

The White House had also made a statement for Trans Visibility Day which received a lot of backlash online as many people pointed out that there is a large Christian majority in the country.

Transgender Olympic champion Caitlyn Jenner also slammed Biden over the selection of transgender day on such a Holy day, especially as he claims to be a devout Christian who observes the Catholic faith.
