(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Michael Cohen who is the ex-fixer and attorney of former President Donald Trump had once stated he would take a bullet for him, however, the situation between them has drastically changed since that time. Last week Cohen was brought in as a witness in the New York civil trial against Donald Trump which is attempting to bring down Trump’s business empire.

Cohen is considered one of the star witnesses in this case and many expected that his testimony would pit him directly against the former President. The trial was also the first time that the two men had faced each other since their estrangement.

The trial made it clear just how much the relationship between the two had soured. When Cohen first walked into the courtroom, former President Donald Trump ignored him and avoided looking at him, opting to instead look forward. Cohen also walked past Trump and his team without looking at them. He also temporarily looked at them for a moment before sitting on the witness stand.

Throughout Cohen’s testimony, the tension between the two men was simmering. During Cohen’s questioning, Trump would often shake his head or whisper to his lawyers. In one instance he even proceeded to throw up his hands before exiting the courtroom.

However, Cohen remained cool during his testimony, until his past contradictions started to encircle him which led to him backtracking from an earlier testimony. He then stated that he had not intended to backtrack. Trump’s legal team heavily attacked Cohen during the cross-examination.
