(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Monday, former President Donald Trump questioned whether former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson would be facing prosecution over the false narrative that she had portrayed during her testimony about Trump allegedly trying to gain control of the car on Jan. 6, 2021.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social on Monday Trump had argued that the Secret Service had completely “crushed” Hutchinson over her fake story about him having lunged at a Secret Service Agent from the backseat of the Limo on the day. He proceeded to question whether or not she had changed her testimony and if she was going to be prosecuted for everything she had said and done.

Trump also questioned what would happen with the House Select Committee that had been investigating the attack. As he pointed out they had destroyed findings and evidence and questioned what was going to happen when serious crimes had been committed.

Trump’s remarks had come close to a week after the House GOP had put out a new report on the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. As part of the report, they had gotten the testimony of a former driver of Donald Trump.

The House Administration Committee’s oversight subpanel which is responsible for the report had not named the driver who had disputed the testimony of Hutchinson to the committee. Hutchinson in her own testimony had claimed that Trump had tried to take control of the vehicle and head towards the U.S. Capitol following his speech on Jan. 6 at the White House.

However, the driver told the committee that he had never seen Trump lunge or try to take control of the steering wheel.
