(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Chris Cuomo, a NewsNation and conservative commentator in a recent conversation which was aired on Tuesday discussed the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021, as well as the benefits of Affirmative Action.
During the second part of the conversation, Carlson argued that affirmative action was completely “immoral” and that no one should be punished over how they were born. However, Cuomo opposed his argument by pointing out that this was exactly what the United States had done.
Carlson responded to that claim by arguing that this practice had ended in 1965, which is something that Cuomo had opposed.
During the earlier part of the discussion, Cuomo had referred to the Jan. 6 attack calling it a “riot” and arguing that this was “bad enough.” He had also accused Carlson of having “cherry-picked” the footage from the Capitol riot that he had been given access to by then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).
Cuomo had argued that Ashli Babbit had only gotten shot because through her actions she had caused the officer to fear for his life. Carlson opposed this claim questioning whether cops had the right to just shoot people without giving them proper warning.
Cuomo agreed that cops should not be shooting people without giving a warning under normal circumstances, but in a situation where a mob was descending towards the law enforcement official who was trying to protect lawmakers from getting hanged, the cop had to make a judgment as his life was under threat.
