(PartiallyPolitics.com) – President Joe Biden arrived for his two-day tour in Colorado where he is going to be promoting his administration’s efforts to support clean energy investments and the Inflation Reduction Act. As the president reached Colorado, he ended up exchanging attacks regarding the act with Representative Lauren Boebert.

As part of his tour of the state Trump is going to be visiting the largest wind turbine tower manufacturing plant in the world, CS Wind Factory, which is located in Pueblo. This is the largest city in the district that Boebert represents. The company has previously argued that the act, which is one of Biden’s biggest legislative victories, has allowed a $200 million expansion, which is expected to be completed in 2028. The expansion is also going to create around 850 more jobs.

However, despite this, Boebert and many other GOP Representatives had voted against the act which they had referred to as a “complete scam.”

Boebert argued that she was proud of CS Winds for their work, however as she had previously pointed out the bill was going to have a cost to taxpayers overall.

A spokesperson for the White House noted in response that if what Boebert had wanted came to pass then Colorado would not have had the $5.6 billion in infrastructure projects that have already been allowed. This includes a $1 billion high-speed internet project that is included in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law which the Representative had previously referred to as “wasteful” and “garbage.”
