(PartiallyPolitics.com) – Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) told Fox News Digital after the release of the report by Special Counsel Robert Hur that President Joe Biden was not mentally “competent” and that he was unfit for office.

In an interview on Friday evening, he argued that Biden “could have never been” and “should never be” the U.S. commander in chief. These comments came after Hur wrote in the report that Biden came across as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Perry proceeded to argue that what was happening with making Biden the President was “abusive.” He added that he did not know why he was making the decisions that he was making, but that he was scared that there were many people around the President who were actually responsible for these decisions.

On Friday, Perry, who is seeking reelection, made an appearance at the NRA’s Great American Outdoor Show where former President Donald Trump delivered the keynote address.

Perry’s comments related to Thursday’s release of the special counsel’s report following the investigation into Biden’s mishandling of classified documents case which has been ongoing for close to a year. Ultimately, Hur did not recommend any charges be pressed against the President in part because of Biden’s “poor memory.”

The report included an assessment of Biden’s mental acuity. Perry, who is an army veteran, claimed that Biden was not “competent” or “capable” of serving as the United States president.

Biden also held a press conference following the report defending his mental abilities and fitness.
