(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Tuesday, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) stated that he was “all in” for supporting former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

During an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Johnson stated that he completely “endorsed” Trump and that his first term in office was “phenomenal.”  He added that during the first half of his administration, Trump had managed to bring about the “greatest economic numbers” in world history which was proof of the effectiveness of his policies. He noted that this was why he was a complete supporter of Trump.

Johnson stated that he fully expects that Trump is going to be the Republican nominee and that the GOP would manage to ensure that President Biden was a one term president.

However, when asked about whether Trump was “fundamentally divisive” Johnson argued that the important thing was not the former president’s personality but rather his policies. As he pointed out when voting for the President of the United States it should not be about personality but rather about principles and policy. He added that people need to vote for the person who will bring greater security and opportunity to Americans.

When comparing the policies of Trump and Biden, Johnson argued that the two were not even close and that under Trump there was a thriving economy in the United States. He added that there were also no world conflicts like the ones that have now broken out in Ukraine and Israel.

This is why he believes that the United States required a lot of changes because of President Biden’s policies.
