(PartiallyPolitics.com) – House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital endorsed former President Donald Trump’s potential second term in the Oval Office.

In the statement, Scalise started by praising Trump’s first administration noting how it had allowed Americans to thrive. As he pointed out the interest rates were kept low and there was a strong economy where families in America were able to buy homes and cover their basic needs as grocery costs remained affordable.

He continued by noting that Trump had helped secure the U.S.’s energy policies, with energy prices being kept low. There was also greater border security and the overall crime rates were significantly lower.

Scalise then blasted President Biden for his administration’s work arguing that it had caused costs to skyrocket, with housing becoming unaffordable, interest rates doubling and inflation and gas prices being at an all-time high. Inflation specifically reached the highest level it had been in 40 years during President Biden’s time in office.

In the statement, he proceeded to argue that Americans were tired of this situation and that they wanted a strong leader who would be able to fix the problems created by the Biden administration. He proceeded to argue that there was one person in the presidential race who had a proven track record and would manage to help the United States recover and that was Trump. This was why he was endorsing Trump for the White House in 2024 and noted that he was looking forward to working with Trump in the future.
