(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Thursday, in response to the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government’s hearing that took place that day, former President Donald Trump claimed that he too was a “victim” of the “weaponization.”

Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that it was “sad watching” the hearing in Congress, especially when it came to the whistleblowers and the DBI. He further added that never before in the U.S. had the Justice system been so weaponized. He noted that he was also a victim and that Congress needed to take action before it was too late. He then closed the statement with “MAGA 2024.”

The House panel’s hearing on Thursday included three FBI agents who have stated that after whistleblowing they had faced extreme retaliation.

Del. Stacey Plaskett, the panel’s ranking Democrat, however, characterized the select committee as “a clearinghouse for testing conspiracy theories” that Trump could use in his presidential campaign.

The hearing came after Justice Department special counsel John Durham released his final report following a four-year investigation in which he slammed the FBI for opening an investigation into the Trump-Russia allegations regarding the 2016 presidential election when there was no substantial evidence to back it. The report also fueled the allegations that federal law enforcement agencies have been weaponized.

Following the release of the report Trump posted on Truth Social, the research showed that the investigation into Trump having possibly colluded with Russia should never have been launched and that in essence American people got scammed.
